Who can take part in the Santa Bungee?
Our Santa Bungee does come with a few requirements to take part. No under 14s can participate and those over 50 are required to complete a doctor’s sign off which can be emailed out to you. For full information on who can take part, please call our team for further information on 0141 212 8750

What height is the Bungee Jump?
160 FT
Do I need to fundraise?
Yes. We ask all participants to pay a non-refundable deposit of £30 to secure their place and then commit to a fundraising pledge of £250.
How fit do I need to be and is there a weight limit?
There are medical requirements and restrictions that apply. The weight limit is 18.9 stone. Participants must read and agree to before jumping. These details are found in the participant back and a completed form must be returned ahead of the event.
Can children participate on their own?
No, any participants aged 15 or 16 MUST jump with a guardian in a tandem bungee. Those aged 14 and under are unable to take part.
How can I register as a team?
The bigger the better! You can fundraise as a team and set a team fundraising goal, however you must register for the event individually. Once all members of the team have individually registered please contact our team on 0141 212 8750 with a list of your team members and we can take it from there!
When will my event pack arrive and what will it include?
Your fundraising pack will be posted out to you. Packs are issued on a weekly basis so please allow 7 days from time of registration. The event pack will include fundraising guidelines and sponsor forms. If there are any issues with your pack please contact our team on 0141 212 8750
When do I get my Santa Suit?
You will be provided with a Santa Suit free of charge on the day. These will be available for collection on the morning of the event only.
What is the Riverside Museum?
Our Santa Bungee takes places at the Riverside Museum, commonly known as the New Transport Museum, based on the Clyde at G3 8RS
How can I fundraise online?
Setting up an online page is quick and easy and is a great way to raise money. To set up an online page for the Santa Bungee follow the below steps
1. Go to JustGiving
2. Log in via Facebook or register (follow the simple steps
3. Search for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and click on the logo
4. Click “Fundraise for us"
5. Click “Taking part in an organised event” and select Santa Bungee
6. Complete your personal profile and hit “Create"
7. You can now personalise your page
8. Don’t forget to use the “SHARE” button to share your page with family and friends

What if I need more sponsorship forms or fundraising ideas?
Sponsorship forms will be sent out to you in your fundraising pack and if you need more, please contact us and we can send more to you. Our friendly Fundraising Team are always happy to help and share ideas so please do not hesitate to contact them by calling 0141 212 8750 or email info@glasgowchildrenshospitalcharity.org
Can I just pay the registration fee and not raise money?
No. Due to costs involved with putting on this event we ask our participants to aim towards a minimum fundraising target of £250, we set this target to ensure all costs are more than covered. Should you require fundraising advice or wish to discuss a personal fundraising target please contact our team directly on 0141 212 8750.
What time does the Bungee start and finish?
Registration will open from 09:00 and jumps will begin from this point onwards. You will receive a rough indication of your bungee time prior to the event, however please be aware these are roughly estimated times.
I have friends and family who are unable to participate in the Bungee, can they join me to celebrate after I have completed the jump
Yes, we encourage friends and family to come along to support you at the Riverside Museum.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We regularly monitor the weather forecast in the lead up to an event. Please dress weather appropriate and wear sensible footwear.
The Santa Bungee would only be cancelled in cases of extreme weather and in this instance participants would be notified as soon as possible. Participant safety is our primary concern and in the event of unsafe conditions the Bungee would be rescheduled.
How can I access any photos that are taken on the day?
Photographs may be taken throughout the event and used in future publications for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. If you do not wish your image to be used, please identify yourself to the organisers on the day.
