Kyro's First Christmas
"Kyro's #HospitalHope is that he gets home for his first Christmas"
4 month old Kyro has spent the past 6 weeks in hospital, where he is receiving treatment for laryngomalacia – a condition that makes it difficult for him to breathe.
Wee Kyro has already had two operations, spent time in intensive care, and has been cared for by the ENT, PICU and Gastro teams, who have been working incredibly hard to help him breathe more easily.
Kyro needs to be bigger before he can have more surgery, so he and his family don’t yet know when they will get to go home.
Kyro’s mum April said: “It would be the best present ever to celebrate Kyro’s first Christmas at home, but if it doesn’t happen, we’ll just have to bring Christmas to him. He’s our little angel and we’ll make Christmas magical no matter where we are.
“The Charity have been fantastic. They funded the pull-down bed I’ve slept in for the past 6 weeks, arranged special visits from the football teams, and have made the hospital feel so festive with the decorations and Christmas trees. Thanks to them Kyro still got to meet Santa!”
April and Kyro's dad Ross are supporting our #HospitalHope appeal, and shared their #HospitalHope:
“Our #HospitalHope is that we can take our little star home. Santa can leave our stockings empty if we could just get that”.
Please support our #HospitalHope appeal this Christmas to help children like Kyro.
