National Lottery Community Fund Award
Learn about the generous National Lottery award granted to Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity during the Covid-19 crisis
There are few moments in life as worrying as your child being admitted to hospital.
For many families, their lives are turned upside down as they face an unknown journey ahead.
Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity does all that it can during these challenging circumstances to ensure that families receive the help that they need, whether that's emotional, practical or financial support.
We would like to share our heartfelt thanks with the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland for their generous National Lottery award of £9,733, to support our families through their hospital journeys during these difficult times.
“In these uncertain times our priority is to ensure that National Lottery money continues to flow to charities, voluntary sector organisations and grassroots groups. I would like to congratulate Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity on their award, theirs is an important project which showcases the vital work that’s being done in communities across the country.”
Neil Ritch, Director, The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland
This generous funding will help Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity fund emergency grants to over families' basic costs for food, laundry and clothing; care packs for those in temporary accommodation close to the hospital; and will also provide iPads to keep families connected with their children in hospital.
