Robert K Tomlinson
A founding director of Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity, Bob Tomlinson was an award winning journalist throughout the 1970s and 1980s. His several awards include Joint Winner Journalist of the Year, Campaigning Journalist of the Year, award from New York Television and Film Festival for International Investigative Journalist of the Year.
Following his career in print journalism, Bob moved to Scottish Television as a broadcast journalist and producer. He then worked in public relations for Scottish Media Group and Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) until joining Rotary International, where he was Assistant General Co-ordinator, Public Image Resource Group.
Bob has also been a board member of the Health Board Trust for the Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill, a trustee of Scottish Cot Death Trust and a board member of the Business Group of Capability Scotland, CLIC Scotland, and the Scottish board of Crusaid, the national charity for AIDS.
